Well, we already know what it's about. Tell me how much you love it. Or how much you hate it.

I hate to say it, but i am really becoming disappointed with season 3. It started out strong, but seems to be losing it's charm or something. It just lacks that spontaneity and je ne sais quois that made it so special and funny in the 1st and second seasons. I really miss Mr. Lynch, and the interations between him and the kids in the classroom. I tought those scenes were hilarious! And where is Linda? They introduced her on the second season, and there was a treasure trove of funny material waiting to be had with that relationship between Brendon, his dad, Linda and Paula, but nothing ever happened. yet. My personal favorite time of Home Movies is Season 2. I love every episode of that season. Season 3 had some really funny material (Shore Leave & Bad Influences), but the majority of the episodes have just seemed too rehearsed or something. I really didn't like "Renaissance" very much at all. I don't think i laughed out loud once. It TEXT have been funny, but it was ruined when Fenton was flying up in the air like he had super powers. That was totally not Home Movies style at all. I don't know, maybe they will get better. I still really love the show, and i stay in to watch every new episode, but i hope they just end the show when they run out of fresh material, rather than making it crappy. Even if the show would end after season 3 (although i saw that there might be a season 4), i would not be disappointed if they have given us the funniest episodes they could, and it was time to work on something new.

Hopefully, there are more really good episodes to come this season. I really liked Shore Leave, Four's Company, Guitarmageddon, and Storm Warning, but most of the other episodes this season have been...well, kind of forgettable. At least in my eyes. Then again, I thought the same of Season 2..."The Party," "History," "Business and Pleasure," and maybe a couple others were great, but a lot of the rest just seemed to fall flat on their faces. Don't get me wrong, there is no bad episode of Home Movies. There just happen to be some that I like more than others. Thus far, I think the majority of the best episodes are still from Season One. The more I think about it, the more I think people like Brandon and Joeynice might have been on to something...the show is still good, but nowhere near as good as it was in the first season, especially the first five episodes, humor-wise, at least. Funny that you say that the third season seems more scripted. I think, if anything, the second was more scripted, less impovised. I think this season, the s2n people might have paid a little attention to what their fans had to say (like how Josie magically reappeared!), and tried to put a little more improvisation in...like the supermarket scene in Four's Company, a large portion of the beginning of Storm Warning, Melissa's conversation with McGuirk at the mall in Shore Leave, etc. And if the show should end after this season, I have five words for you: The Walter and Perry Show!!!

Now you see where I'm coming from ;D I never really got to know joeynice. Come to think of it, the Lycos board was the first time I ever socialised online. Spectre316 was the first person I was ever friends with and not knowing what he looked like all along... and on the really old dead imfat netfirms board I didnt know anyone at all; I actually pictured atf as a sophmore wieghtlifter, and spectre isnt very specific at all... Funny this internet thing...
